CyraCom Announces a Partnership with the University of Arizona’s National Center for Interpretation

CyraCom, the Tucson-based language services company, and The University of Arizona’s National Center for Interpretation today announced a new collaboration to benefit local Spanish/English healthcare interpreters.

The Center and CyraCom are cooperating in the development of advanced curricula in an effort to provide local interpreters with the nation’s most advanced and comprehensive training in the field of medical interpretation.

CyraCom provides scholarship funds to the University of Arizona’s National Center for Interpretation to enable local interpreters to attend its week-long Medical Interpreter Training Institute in July. Employment opportunities at CyraCom are also presented to all graduates of Center programs. This collaboration represents a first step in an ongoing effort to broaden opportunities for interpreters working with both organizations.
